Join Our Journey: From “Impaction” to “Impactionable”

With immense excitement, we are announcing that our organization, “Impaction” has changed its name to “Impactionable.” We are now more powerful, eager, and ready for action in the growing social impact sector by changing the name. We have grown into a community that values meaningful relationships and acts on the desire to make the world a better place.

For 2021, we commit to another year of helping people in our local communities by providing job opportunities and funding for the people in the social impact space.

Today, we would love to take you on the journey of when it all started. When “Impaction” launched in October 2018, we wanted to encourage innovation and ideas-sharing in the social impact space. We quickly learned that we wanted to support the majority of those who wanted to lend a helping hand to others but were unable to. Like donating or starting your enterprise, the existing ways to help were too expensive and time-consuming for our community members. We firmly believed that helping others should not be hard. It was more upsetting to see that incredible talent that could have helped the world was wasted because people could not afford to get started because of such barriers.

As our mission started to evolve, our name followed suit. “Impactionable” was born with a simple notion that if you’re interested in making a positive difference, just start.

At Impactionable, we host many opportunities to get people started, keeping workforce innovation and hiring as our primary goals. We also host webinars and hackathons, called Video Sessions, to encourage students and business professionals to offer advice to aspiring social entrepreneurs and leaders worldwide. We host Social Innovation Competitions to provide funding opportunities for our innovators. Lastly, we host International Community Projects, like clothing and book drives, to inspire people across seas to step up and help their local communities.

We encourage our community to start enacting positive change with simple steps in our motto, “start small, but start somewhere.” The adoption of the name “Impactionable” is a reflection of our values and these seemingly simple notions towards action in the social impact space.

April 4th will mark a unique occasion for our organization. Two years and counting, the people, partners, and leaders that have connected with us played a significant role in making “Impaction” successful. We look forward to continuing this journey towards positive, sustainable change with our mission at “Impactionable.”
